Our Services

Stepping Stones is proud to partner with local like minded organizations to help minister to the practical needs of our community. We help facilitate and oversee biannual service projects such as basic home repairs and yard clean ups for those who are unable to care for themselves.

     Our Christmas sponsorship program began December 25, 2001.... Three days earlier two of our mission kids asked if they could take their gifts home from our party without unwrapping them. They said that they wanted to have something to open Christmas Morning. We had a hard time believing their story, however, we allowed them to take their gifts home still wrapped. We decided to visit them early Christmas morning with extra gifts in hand just in case their story was true. Much to our surprise, when they opened the door we clearly saw the two gifts we had given them were the only gifts they had. They were being raised by their great aunt who was working two jobs to take care of them. She was already at work when we arrived at 6 am. Later, she told us that it was all she could do to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads. In 2002, we found that this was just one of many families whose children did not receive gifts at Christmas. From there, we began partnering with local churches to sponsor needy families each year.

Our Anger Management program is a cognitive behavioral approach designed to help participants learn effective coping skills and become aware of their reactions in real-life situations.

The curriculum consists of participants using a workbook, surveys and mini essays which help the client better handle anger provoking situations.

The lessons surround five particular areas of personal growth including:

Presence: The ability to be in control of what is occurring in the moment.

Awareness: The ability to fully acknowledge feelings and perceptions.

Perspective: The ability to understand one's own outlook and take others' views into account.

Attention: The ability to act with intention, responsibility and focus.

Prevention: The ability to recognize and diffuse escalating conflict situations.

Every Thanksgiving, Stepping Stones partners with local churches to provide complete Thanksgiving baskets to 50 families in our local community.  

Each basket includes:

• Turkey

• Green Beans

• Corn

• Gravy

• Corn Bread

• Butter

• Eggs

• Cranberry Sauce

• Macaroni Noodles

• Sweet Potatos

And much more!

Stepping Stones Outreach Ministries is proud to offer a Career Mentoring program to any individual who is seeking guidance and support to improive their chances at becoming successful in their field of study.

Our program pairs each mentee with a mentor who is skilled in their specific field of expertise.  Each mentor will help their applicant in the following areas of interest:

Stepping Stones has been tutoring people of all ages for over 20 years. We are pleased to offer personalized 1 on 1 tutoring sessions for anyone who may be struggling with core educational principals and/or standardized test taking preparedness.
